About Wowza
Elisa Lodge, who is in her early 70’s, walks her talk. A modern shaman known as Wowza, she has been a leader in the human potential movement for four decades. Wowza has an extensive background in expressive arts therapy, movement/dance education, sound healing integrative bodywork, performance art practices and spiritual counseling.
Her multi-disciplinary background includes: international consultant on natural fitness, motivational speaker, and presentation coach with On Camera, a firm, which coach’s executives, writers, politicians, and actors for media appearances and corporate communications.
Wowza has studied with master bodywork teachers, Ida Rolf and Mohse Feldenkrais and has been a certified teacher of Rolfing Movement Integration.Her programs, Fit to Lead and Computer Fitness: Take the Aches and Pains out of Work has been offered at Sun Micro Systems, Portal Publications and Oracle Corporation.
The Physiology of Leadership was presented at the Social Research Corporation in Japan, and at Skyros Institute in Greece. A ‘Quantum Physiology of Consciousness’ was conducted at the Sequoia Symposium for physicists who were presenting their work on the quantum field. Expressive Arts Therapy was offered at the C. G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland and Song Talk, The First and Future Language was presented at the Sound Healing Conference in 2003. For the last ten years, she has taught on-going Gestalt Therapy Trainings and Sound Healing in Mainland China.
A group leader at Esalen Institute since 1979, Wowza has conducted workshops entitled, Natural Genius, The Sacred Actor, Emotional Fitness, and Ageless Vitality. For five years she served as a professional trainer for Arica Institute, a spiritual development program, which conducts forty-day training’s around the world.
Wowza is a professional actress, ceremonial artist and mask maker who has appeared in numerous television shows, stage productions and films. She trained with Lee Strasberg of Actors Studio in New York, and toured with her own performing arts company, Theatre of the Earth. With the desire to create a meta spirituality, Wowza co-founded “Church of Wow.” The Humming Book and Primal Energetics-Emotional Intelligence in Action syntheses her cutting edge methodology.
